How do I choose the right hat for my face shape?
We can determine what face shape we have by observing our forehead, cheeks, chin, and jawline in a general way. There are a lot of different face shapes, but some of the most common ones are round, square, oval, triangular, heart, and diamond. It is important to know your face type.
Hats for round faces
A round face and a hat with a short brim will make your face look larger. The hats that are gonna help you to create an illusion that your face is longer and oval are the hats with triangular crowns like Fedoras and diamond crowns hats (our Acapulco hat is one of them) also all the wide brim hats are perfect for this face shape.
Other face shapes
It is always good to choose a type of hat that contrasts with our face to create an optical illusion, for example:
- The canotier and circular crown hats are a great fit for triangular faces.
- Square faces and hats with short brims, such as our Veracruz and Puebla hats, which are Panama-style, will balance out the face.
- Heart-shaped faces and hats with medium brims are best friends. Make sure they have a firm brim to give your features finesse.
