I grew up in a México where hats aren't fashion. They're life.

On ranches, in the sierras, at every family gathering, a hat was never optional. The 'vaquero' cowboy tradition didn't start as a trend. It started as a way of living, passed down through generations long before the world ever called it Western.

My mother wore hats the way she did everything: with quiet strength, beauty and zero apology. Sandoval exists because of her.

Our hats are handwoven from Sahuayo palm straw, one of the world's rarest and most refined natural fibers, by artisans in Michoacán who've practiced this craft their entire lives.

No machines. No shortcuts. Each hat is shaped by hand, one by one. Each imperfection is proof that a real person made it.

Today I live in Amsterdam with my husband and our two children. But México never left me, and it never will.
