Description
The Oaxaca is where Sandoval began. A Western sun hat handwoven from Sahuayo palm straw, one of the world's rarest natural fibers, by artisans in Michoacán who've practiced this craft for generations. Light enough for the longest summer days, strong enough to last a lifetime. The warm sand tone works from ranch to city without trying.

Elastic inner band
Sandoval hats have an elastic band on the inside, which allows our hat sizes to fit multiple head circumferences. The elastic band conforms to your head circumference and provides extra wearing comfort.
Free hat size reducers
Receive 2 complimentary foam hat size reducers with every order, which reduces the hat size with 1cm and ensures a snug fit for your hat. Ideal for slight adjustments to the inner circumference.
How do I know my hat size?
Discover your size with a measurement tape. Position the tape above your ears and exactly around your head where you want to wear the hat's brim.

For other destinations, shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
Orders are shipped from Amsterdam via tracked delivery.

Size Exchanges
Free within Europe. If the fit isn't perfect, contact us and we'll arrange a new size at no cost. For orders outside Europe, exchange shipping costs are covered by the customer.
Returns
We accept returns for products in new and unused condition within 30 days of delivery.
For defective or damaged products: no cost to you. We'll provide a free prepaid return label.
For all other returns (wrong order, change of mind): return shipping costs are charged to the customer. We'll send the return label via email for you to download and print.

Our hats are woven from Sahuayo straw, derived from palm leaves native to Michoacán, Mexico. Artisans have chosen this fiber for generations because of its exceptional strength and flexibility. The natural texture and warmth of the weave is something no machine can replicate. Each hat is made one by one — a unique piece from the first stitch to the last.

Your Fit
Three sizes, one perfect fit
Available in Small (54.5–56cm), Medium (56.5–58.5cm), and Large (59–61cm). Each hat features an elastic inner band that gently conforms to your head shape for a secure, comfortable fit. Two complimentary hat size reducers are included with every order for fine-tuning.
